Description

The Leica M205 A stereo microscope is a fully automated microscope for tasks that demand the highest precision and accuracy.

Introducing the high-end research Leica M205 A stereo microscope that gives operators full confidence to run inspections and experiments automatically. Operate all the functions of this high-performance stereo microscope via the user-friendly SmartTouch control unit or with Leica software allowing you to work nearly hands-free. Streamlining your daily workflow with intelligent automation allows you to run your processes with a few mouse clicks.

The Leica M205 A stereo microscope features FusionOptics technology, providing both a high resolution image and a great depth of field so you no longer have to choose between the two. Easily investigate the smallest of structures or zoom out for a wider view with its impressive 20.5: 1 zoom range, without losing depth of field.

  • 20.5:1 automated zoom with FusionOptics
  • Fully automated stereo microscope
  • 7.8x to 160x magnification
  • Up to 1,050 lp/mm resolution (with 2.0× objective)
  • Digital display showing all the microscope’s settings at a glance
  • Reproduce captured images easily with the Store and Recall module
  • The M-series microscopes have the largest working distance for all Leica main objectives, allowing space for working with tools, with a working distance of 20.5mm – 135mm

Add on to your Leica stereo microscope to suit a wide variety of applications and tasks

  • Motorised and manual scanning stages
  • Stage accessories
  • Boom arm and articulated stands
  • Cameras and tubes
  • Ergonomic accessories for comfortable viewing over prolonged periods of use
  • Choice of different magnification objectives that are automatically detected by the software.

Illumination options for maximum performance

  • Add a ring light for bright, even illumination of your sample. Polarisers and diffusers can be added to reduce glare on reflective surfaces.
  • Inspect fine cracks and surfaces of smooth and reflective samples with coaxial illumination.
  • Use near vertical illumination (NVI) for shadow-free lighting of samples with recesses or deep holes.
  • Add spot lights for flexible illumination that you can angle accordingly.
  • Diffuse illumination eliminates glare from curved, non-flat or reflective samples.
  • Multi-contrast illumination provides lighting from two different directions and angles for viewing difficult-to-see details.
  • The transmitted light base TL3000 Ergo enables you to switch between different contrast options with just a single knob rotation, including:
    • Brightfield illumination for viewing original colours
    • Rotterman Contrast for investigating internal structures
    • Darkfield illumination for exploring fine details

Encoding for quick and easy documentation

  • Coded components provide convenient, reproducible settings for quick, easy documentation – even for untrained operators.
  • The microscope system is intelligently linked to the software to allow you to change settings without having to manually adjust the calibration.
