The XDS-1 is a high quality invertedย biological microscope representingย very good value for money and isย designed to be affordable forย multiple user sites especially inย teaching and research laboratories.ย Each microscope is equipped with aย trinocular head ready for theย attachment of a digital camera. Theย microscopes include a full set of 4ย high quality long working distanceย plan achromatic objectivesย brightfield and phase objectives on aย quadruple objective turret.ย Specimens can placed on theย mechanical stage with a variety ofย specimen holders and ergonomicallyย positioned controls for XY stage andย focus control. The focussing tensionย can be adjusted and a focus lockย protects the objectives fromย damage. Illumination is providedย from an integral halogen lamp withย adjustable intensity, a long workingย distance condenser and phaseย contrast set.ย Options include a range of cameraย adapters, digital cameras, imageย analysis software, additionalย objectives and eyepieces.
