Description

Image Analysis System for Fully Automatic Particle Counting and Sizing.  Ellix is available in 3 levels of system dependeant on the smallest size of particles that you need to count and size and the level of microscope motorisation.  The images shown are examples of the type of results that can be obtained.  Precisely which software we supply depends on the appliaction so the software appearance may differ to that shown.

IA002-1 system for particles larger than 1 micron

IA002-10 system for particles larger than 10 microns

IA002-100 system for particles larger than 100 microns

IA002-1 Automated analysis of particles from 1 microns in size

Counting from 1 microns can only be done with a compound microscope. The microscope can be provided with an encoded objective turret for automatic calibration and both transmitted and reflected lighting. Optionally, the microscope turret and focus can be motorised and controlled by the analysis software.

Counting from 10 microns can only be done with a compound microscope. The microscope can be provided with an encoded optional objective turret for automatic calibration and both transmitted and reflected lighting. IA002-100 Automated analysis of particles from 100 microns in size
A scanner offers an economic solution for rapid analysis of particles 100 microns and larger. The membrane is acquired in a single pass at 1200 dpi. The software memorizes the calibration factor automatically and counting takes place in under three minutes.

Other variations of these systems are also available depending on the nature of the sample under examination.  For instance a macro-lens mounted on a macrostand can be used for samples that are larger and not flat, or polarising microscopes can be better for some crystalline materials, or phase contrast microscopy can be better for 1 micron particles.

The software analyses images at high speed from a camera mounted on a microscope and produces a size distribution table and histogram.

This software, if required, will orchestrate capture from a camera, movement by a motorised stage, automatic focussing by motorised focus, automatic calibration selection from a motorised microscope objective turret, automatic adjustment of image brightness, automatic background correction for uneven illumination, automatic feature detection, automatic feature separation and rapid analysis of dimensions and shapes and the immediate classification of the data into tables and graphs.

The results are automatically published into reports which can be freely designed including corporate logos using the powerful report designer feature of this software.

This powerful image analysis package is designed for constant, practical, no-nonsense use by professionals in industry and is robustly produced with thousands of installations worldwide.
